Well I agree with your O comments, but most would use FFO to value REIT's not earnings.

That said, for non REITs, I would say coverage % of the divdend might have more value in a dividend type investment than a earnings statistic.

Interesting... I own O also and like the monthly compounding/divvy... do the ones on your list also pay monthly?

FWIW: my cost was 29 and change and yield on cost is much higher than 5%.
