Ted, the Nanny State at work:

Childhood Obesity: A Call for Parents to Lose Custody

Harvard associate professor advocates CPS taking severely obese children away from their parents.

This opinion appeared in JAMA, the Journal of the American Medical Association, which is pretty much the leading publication of doctors and other health care providers

Adult diabetes is the fastest growing disease among children. Do you have any idea what it will mean for those children when they reach adulthood in terms of contracting additional disease? Let me rephrase that in language you will understand.......do you have any idea how that will run up the country's health bills and your taxes going forward?

Letting a child get obese, not fat but obese, is an abdication of parental responsibility.
