You can hear a thousand mothers intoning, "If you don't have something nice to say, better not to say anything at all." ;<) Seriously, I try to keep the tone polite because then the discussion focuses on ideas and political personalities, which is why most of us are here every day, not to squabble with other SI personalities. Our bookmark total has crept up slowly but steadily over the years, so obviously it's a winning formula with the current audience.
