Shorted 500 LCOS too early. I don't believe they can
start charging money, most people will just switch to another
search engin. I wouldn't short YHOO because I use their
Yahoo Finance site all the time, will have to pay them if
they ask.
Remember anyone can start a search engin,no barrier to
entry.
Hope to see sell on the news tomorrow.

Bob,

One thing that makes YHOO very different from AOL, MSN, and for that matter NSCP as they do not control a 'portal' to the internet. In the end it is very likely YHOO will end up with these other services being direct competitors. MSFT is in with LCOS and given MSFT's reputation life could be made very tough for the competition.

If I had to go long on a stock I'd have to bet on LCOS, even though I think YHOO is a better service.

Short term I think YHOO is an excellent short, if for no other reason 1.5 million shares are being added to the float from insider selling. It is only a matter of time before that drags the stock down.

Bob, >>Is this not like the early days of TV. Everything was free to the public. Now most everyone pays $20-$40/month for a cable hook-up. I thus would not be surprised to see the Yahoo's of the world start charging for this service sometime in the future. Then watch their stock price jump!!<<

I think you may have read it in one of my previous posts. This is what scares me the most about Yahoo. It is also my home and I keep everything there. Despite this, I went short today. To big a move! In this still over priced market it will go down either on its own merit or with the market. I look forward to making at least $10/share.
