Yeah, well, the "historical facts" aren't nearly as bad as the "economic facts" in the current debate. If we're lucky, we maybe slip past the default thing and merely slip back into recession at the behest of Republican "stimulate the rich" dogma. And there will be ferocious implantation of the idea that it's all Obama's fault. Trouble is, with the aid of the Fox News / Limbaugh / conservative "think tank" infrastructure, there will be plenty of people who are happy to build on these "facts". The reality-based community has a hard time pushing back against true beliefs.
