Yes, of course I read the official history. But we need to:
Look to other perspectives on the very same historical subjects
Make the connections of what is happening today, across geography boundaries and time with those historical facts.

It is the Puritanical mindset that gave rise to today's US.

The name of God in the money

US have religious right,

Bible belt

Can you imagine an atheist running for president?

There's a good example of a cult: <Elm, really, give it up. Your interpretation of American history, i.e., the Founding Fathers as the equivalent of Khomeini for their religious intolerance, is a bit off. > ElM's cult = Anglophobe combined with Yankee Go Home mentality.

He can't help but believe that his cult is real rather than a mere representation of reality in his head. That leads ElM to think Khomeini's jihad ideology is the same as Jefferson's and co's idea of a state with freedom of religion and other beliefs, freedom of expression, and many other freedoms, with the most important ideological difference being that people in the USA are free born self determining individuals while jihad is the opposite with humans being mere temporal nodes to the glory of Allah and the Priesthood.

Gold is just another belief system. A mere cult.
