motor bike, or Segway, to give other innocent motorists a sporting chance against them.

I don't know - this Segway Co. owner was apparently trying to give a dog a sporting chance. It didn't work out too good for him.

"Multimillionaire died after reversing Segway off cliff
The multi-millionaire owner of the Segway company died after reversing one of the two-wheeled contraptions off a cliff top footpath as he tried to make way for a dog walker, an inquest has heard.

Jimi Heselden, 62, is thought to have reversed, wobbled and then plunged 42ft to a riverbank below as he attempted to make room for the passer-by.

An inquest heard that he was trying out an off-road version of the personal transporter when the simple "act of courtesy" cost him his life.

David Hinchliff, West Yorkshire Coroner, said it was "typical of the type of man he was" that he held back and made room for the dog walker.

"In so doing, he's attempted to reverse the Segway back. As a result of that he's got into difficulty."
