chi-x...you are incorrect when you said the asnd thread "the responses were all asnd would be higher than coms"
In fact , I don't know which asnd thread you were on, but you can't derive that conclusion from this thread....not "all"

>>>if COMS at $30 was such a no-brainer, then why didn't you buy it there?<<<

I mentioned here already that I had liquidated my 4000 CSCO, among a couple other closed-out positions, in order to raise my cash percentile in this volatile market. The rest of my funds are tied up in various short/long-term holds. I passed COMS by in favor of a possible move into more CYMI under 18, which as it so happens, would have turned out to be the best choice. Unfortunately, you aren't the only one who avoids "forced" trades. I should have gone with my instincts. Too bad I'm still distracted by this uncanny, itching desire to short CSCO and exact personal revenge for the beating my long position in ASND has taken...but I know this isn't a wise way to go about trading. I suggested COMS to some via email as an investment/trade (as if they needed me to point that out -- 30 or below and COMS is on welfare). I would have needed to sell some of my ASND or CYMI longs in order to buy COMS...and I refuse to sell at a loss. Notice that I have done NO trading whatsoever for about 2 months...I always announce them at Lzzrd's swamp, the Fool, or the respective threads.

>>>I was posting here when COMS was $28 on who thought which stock would be higher by December 1st, COMS or ASND. The responses here were all for ASND.<<<

First of all, I thought it was more along the lines of the conclusion of the year. Second of all, I wasn't one of those who bothered responding...maybe that was on the weekend when I was away?

>>>In respect to your trading challenge, I'd be very surprised if you can outperform me. But if you could, I'd be pleasantly surprised.<<<

I take it you hate surprises! ;o)

>>>I don't trade in competition or with a chip on my shoulder.<<<

Then where's the fun? I daytrade for one reason: the rush. Nothing beats it. That's probably 90% of the reason why most SOES raiders keep throwing their capital away to losses, commissions, and taxes.
