1. Dell has had a 30% correction already
2. Earnings 1 week-probably good -better than hwp as usual
3. The last time it split-straosphere..we went

5. I'm from Austin and lot of my friends work at Dell....Good feedback 6. They're exspanding more as we speak
7. Not all stocks went up 10pts in 2 days
8.It 85....did you keep your word and short it
9. Dell.... Has me for a cheer-leader ...that will make it climb
10. Its a great company and keeps it share holders very happy
11.I've made a small fortune on Dell...Thats really a good sign

Paul - I don't know that HWP will affect Dell or CPQ much. They have been missing their quarters for some time now, and Dell/CPQ have continued to do well. I was more worried by CPQ's move south after good earnings and saying everything looks good going forward. Maybe it was selling on the news and fund profit taking, I don't know.

PS - The other thing is that HWP PC results looked good, they just have 'too many people' as Steve would say....

Paul,

IMHO, DELL should benefit from the currency effects, since a greater proportion of their costs are based in weakened currency markets, and a greater proportion of their earnings are effected in stronger markets. Net result should be somewhat increased margins, even calculating in potentially reduced sales in weaker currency areas, which constitute a small fraction of their market.
