You conveniently failed to make note of spending at historically high levels. Control the spending, and I'm sure people will be glad to step up with more revenue. Before Reagan took power, most American cities did not have a serious homeless problem. Now every American city has one. Before Reagan took power, most of the seriously crazy were not on the streets. Now they are, acting out in ways we couldn't have imagined. Up until Reagan took power, the national debt as a % of GDP was declining. Since then, it has risen every year except for a few years under Clinton. The only reason this country has not felt the cold impact of Reagan tax cuts is because our legislators have relied on deficit spending to maintain services. You are a CPA.......you know exactly what I am saying. So please, stop with the nonsense. The jig is up.........its been up for a long time and now the vast majority of Americans are getting it.
