I agree with more load coils being on longer lines (found wherever the need for improvements in poorer voice quality as a result of wire capacitance were addressed by adding offsetting induction), but bridge taps (line splices to tap in other lines) will likely be found more heavily in high density areas. In other words, there will be problems throughout the spectrum of local loop service.
