HDSN is hard to judge becasue there is so little information. I don't buy into the arguement that the weather really affects their business that much. I think the market is punishing this stock because of poor earnings with the underlying reason being poor management. I read 1997 as an inventory management problem not a weather problem. The weather won't give this stock a bounce. Everyone knows spring and summer are coming. It's already in the stock. The market wants to see that management can turn things around, not get lucky with the weather.
I bought at $11 and have averaged down four times since. I 'm debating another buy. If HDSN ever gets back to $11, I'm golden. But, the other possibility is that it will burn all it's cash and file Chapter 11. That's the big risk.
This is a pretty weak thread. We're all in deep do-do here. Let's see if we can piece together a clearer picture of this dog!

Ron - ( History Lesson) The people of Rockland County where hudson is located started a buying frenzy which drove up the stock. when the issued warrants some bad investment advisors suggested purchasing the warrants and when they did a partial recall these same bums convinced the old folks to trade in for stock. There are still many people with big paper losses in Rockland. They do seem to be a in a good position and market.

Just found thread about two weeks ago.
