let's do the math... you need 16 16 mb sdram chips to make a 32 mb simm. $85/16 = $5.25 retail price - assuming the pcb, assembly and shipping costs are nil - they aren't. you can bet that wholesale is AT THE VERY LEAST 15-20% less than this number.

sdram will not save mu. as they ramp sdram they will increase the glut of sdram chips and drive the sdram price down...
