Why are you repeating the secession lie? Oh right, you're a liberal and lying is what you do.

BTW TX does not have a budget deficit.

NewsCorp bonds get wacked

7/18/2011 4:49 PM EDT

NewsCorp is obviously in the headlines. Their bonds are trading like this becomes a serious credit issue. S&P put their BBB+ rating on watch negative today and the credit markets are saying the cut will put them in junk territory. The 4.5 '21 were trading in the +150 area on Friday, now over +200. The long bonds are even worse, from around +180 to +240. That's around 9 points on the longer bonds.

If you think they survive, consider buying when they get downgraded to junk. Typically that causes a flurry of selling, as many investors cannot legally hold junk bonds. But as long as the company rights the ship even a little, the weeks immediately after a downgrade are typically the widest the bonds trade.
