Amazingly I find very few Americans are aware of the source of the Clinton economic miracle.

In fact, in most conversations on this site, I encounter the myth that Clinton was able to do what he did, economically, as a result of the heroic efforts of the Republicans in Congress, really the work of Newt and Contract on America.

The idiots have never bothered to ascertain the truth, they just ditto the lies and it seems to work....

Clinton came in during a recession. Got onboard with a republican Congress' contract with America. Signed the repeal of Glass Stegal. Reformed Welfare. Gave a big tax break to Real Estate. Didn't get into a prolonged war. And went out on top of a Dot.com/2yk bubble.

Based on the first and last. Some fortuitous timing was involved.
