First Mq I obviously agree on the thermodynamics becoming less important.. just not so 'less important' .. imagine the infrastructure required to do that to a tiny little city like Toronto (big smoke) with typical crappy western diet.. organic to boot ? that comes under the heading whimsy.. how and where will all this food be organically produced ? stored, etc etc.. just in time meals ? Western agriculture is already highly energy intensive.. and it's not producing mass quantities of organic food.. it's not designed to.. it works well now because it is small... a niche business...

Edit: I'd love to live off in the boonies away from it all and take my tv I don't care... but a fast net connect is a must... someday ... The trend is the exact opposite today...
