"Nothing destroys jobs faster a bloated, intrusive government."

Maybe. Since we aren't even close to that, there are other reasons...

"CEOs cannot reasonably be expected to believe this when the government is on an idiotic spending binge in a futile effort to prop up the economy. "

Nonsense. The real problem is lack of demand. As has been proven repeatedly. And there won't be any demand until people have jobs and feel secure.

Just look at other countries. Ireland and Britain have put in place austerity measures. The result? Their economies have tanked, resulting in higher costs due to higher unemployment and social services. OTOH, look at the countries who had worker protections during the near depression, like Germany and the Nordic countries. They are doing great. Their unemployment is well below where ours is and their economies are expanding.

CEOs cannot reasonably be expected to believe this when the government is on an idiotic spending binge in a futile effort to prop up the economy.

What about the spending binge CEO salaries companies are undergoing? Why are they able to raise their salaries astronomically and give themselves significant bonuses but they can't justify hiring more people?

You analysis of the situation sounds like someone seriously uninformed. Truth is there is a lack of demand.......factory ute. rates are still significantly depressed. So then how do these CEOs justify spending so much on their salaries? Shouldn't they be showing some solidarity with their employees and fellow Americans?

And why doesn't that bother you?
