Hi,
I'm new to this thread and I have owned CSCO for about 5 years.
I got the new "Smart Money" magazine today and on page 119 it says that CSCO is the next technology blue chip. I also read recentley that some magazine writer was recommending CSCO as one of the best stocks to own for the next ten years. Does it ever frustrate anyone out there when someone thinks that they have discovered the next big stock in CSCO (or that CSCO is only now becoming a viable investment or stable bellweather corporation.)
My cost basis per share is probably a handful of quarters. This company has been a monster for years and I'm glad I am in it. I just think some writers might want to check the record before they state that "Hey, this company really looks solid!"

No kidding. Now go write your first article on Starbucks - and Microsoft (I think they've been selling software).

I didn't mean to go off on a rant but so many financial journalists these days just don't have a clue - It's as though their personal financial domain consists of a passbook savings account and bank CD's

Good Investing with CSCO (I'm betting my retirement on it),
