good morning elmat.

there is no question that hormones are used
in meat production - at least in canada and the
united states. the meat producers themselves
attest to that. consequently there is a lot of
controversy over the use of not just hormones,
but antibiotics as well, and animal production
in general.

emotions run high in both camps.

some people have been greatly influenced by
this documentary (i haven't seen it)
en.wikipedia.org

which is countered by this:
safefoodinc.org

i am a light meat eater and don't have a dog in
this race. my main objection to consuming meat
is that by doing so i am condoning the manner in
which animals are being raised and slaughtered
- like being an enabler of some terrible practices.

jmho.
