What D pissed a trillion down a hole on shovel ready jobs to discover they don't exist and now the money is gone and we have nothing to show for it at all.

The number is higher than you think when you consider that unemployment benefits are not subject to the regressive payroll tax.

Besides, the real tradeoff isn't whether one makes MORE on unemployment versus working.

The tradeoff is, "Do I take unemployment and spend my days smoking crack, or do I work and have to get up at 7am every day and show up at work?"
