Is minimum wage too MUCH in Arkansas, Dave? More than employers can bear? If you made nothing but that, you won't collect MORE on unemployment! "How much? In general, unemployment benefits are based on an individual's earnings in the base period. As of December, 2008, AR benefits ranged from $73 to $409. Arkansas state unemployment benefits are subject to Federal income taxes, and you may elect to have taxes withheld from your unemployment check." Looks like you'd get $73 a week! The MOST you could get would be $409 a week! (even if you'd made six figures!) if that's more than you could make working - GO FOR IT!
