Good grief ElM, it seems you have adopted Virtuous Victorian Values while all about, in Britain, Germany, USA, they have been abandoned as archaic anachronisms.

Excellent. Now we just need another billion or three of people with your ideology.

You didn't mention it, but you are more Kiwi than the Kiwis [not all of them - there are some die-hards still out there].

Meanwhile, in case you haven't noticed, there seems to be a bit of a run on the US$ on today. A bit of panic in the markets. UK pound experiencing the same. NZ$ reigns supreme - what a mighty money it is. But do not be fooled. The high NZ$ interest rates are probably the reason, with the misconceived idea that NZ is economically sound, socially robust, with sensible political motivations. Take a closer look. With debts mounting at NZ$1.3 billion a month, Wile E Coyote will one day find that reality is not matching monetary expectations.
