Fair point, though it's not so much short as having to choose one or other options. <you have been short gold, truth, light, freedom, sovereignty, self-determination, because you have been shorting gold against usd even as usd sinks against nzd. > Buying one house on a street rather than another does not mean one is short the other house.

Fortunately, it's not long that I have held much in the way of US$ cash and still it's a minor portion of assets, which is held only in readiness for the next moves, which hopefully come sooner rather than later because holding cash has for decades been against my rules of preserving capital.
