Chris, re: options close

Chris, I do not agree with your assertion about the stock closing at expiration near the price that most benefits the options traders (who are you referring to: the market makers?).

As Truff says, the last 2 expirations counter that theory. Likewise, that chart that someone keeps posting doesn't reflect reality at all.

Make your trades based on the stock's value. The market makers cannot control momentum. What they can do is affect the closing price, but that is irrelevant. For example, if they bring the price down $.50 at close, it should go right back up on Monday and the stock you've called away will reflect it.

As for this Friday's close, your guess is as good as mine. However, the market maker will have little to do with it.
