But they've only had the DSP chips in the modems since Aug 15, 1996 I thought. So the modems prior to that were regular "hardware", "old" modems; that's what I was saying. Dwight, I am sure you are correct. I thought modems from the beginning of time used DSPs. I really had no idea when or how the technology changed. I plug them in and use them. Glenn
