One reason the death toll was so high is it took 90 minutes for help to arrive.

Police arrived 90 minutes after shooting rampage began on Norwegian island Police arrived at an island massacre about an hour and a half after a gunman first opened fire, slowed because they didn't have quick access to a helicopter and then couldn't find a boat to make their way to the scene just several hundred yards offshore.

I think the Norwegians need to invest more in their police infrastructure.

Watching that video of Oslo with the speakers off is even more frightening....there was enough time there to have everyone who was in the area to have many emotions go through their minds....
==What was that?
==Why is there glass shattered so many blocks from the blast?
==Where was the bomb/bombs in the building that was the target?
==Should people have rushed toward the blast to help where they could, or was it wise to stay away and wait for the police?
==No one knew then if there were more blasts that would occur, or if that was the only one...

==We didn't see anyone trying to get out of the windows even in the area of the fire....Why not?
==Was there some sort of pre-warning?
==Why was there fire near the top of the building, and not all over or on the ground floor?
==Does that mean the bomb was hidden someplace in the building?

It would be interesting to compare those pictures to any of World Trade Center #1.....that truck bomb was in the parking garage.... were windows blown out of many/any surrounding buildings?

So many questions, but the biggest one is WHY? Oslo "pre bomb" looked a good deal like Seattle, and many of our larger cities on any given day....Clean, people having fun, shopping, talking...

I feel so sorry for the Norwegians.....They have thought they had the answer as far as terrorism is concerned.....it seems they don't.....

I know one thing....This guy who did this was no practicing Christian. Those two phrases - "practicing Christian" and "mass murder" together are an oxymoron....
