The Rs put a deal on the table for 4T in cuts and 800B in taxes. Is it really $4T in cuts? Is that the deal Obama agreed to and then reneged on by demanding $400B more revenue (taxes)? Is it true that a 2% rise (soon) in interest rates would wipe out near all the savings over 10 years even before the deal is struck.

Obama, out of hard-headedness, insisted on 1.2T in tax increases, clearly positioning for a deal at 4T and 1T, which I predict will be the outcome. The Rs have done nothing but destroy for the past ten years.......everyone knows it but you all. Imagine. A few months ago, Obama was unwilling to cut a damned thing, and Boehner has forced him to a deal to cut 4T. This is a huge win for America. Even if it has been ugly getting there. There is no deal. Boehner is spinning his wheels. He has to do whatever Cantor wants and Cantor doesn't care who he hurts; to whit, "we can't help the people in Joplin, MO until we find budget offsets." Boehner is bad enough; Cantor is pure evil.
