Didn't John somebody say something like, "life is really tough, especially if one is stu...."?

in the mean time what I see in my in-tray

Let me get this straight . . .
We're going to be "gifted" with a health care
plan we are forced to purchase and
fined if we don't,
Which purportedly covers at least
ten million more people,
without adding a single new doctor,
but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents,
written by a committee whose chairman
says he doesn't understand it,
passed by a Congress that didn't read it but
exempted themselves from it,
and signed by a President who smokes,
with funding administered by a treasury chief who
didn't pay his taxes,
for which we'll be taxed for four years before any
benefits take effect,
by a government which has
already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,
all to be overseen by a surgeon general
who is obese,
and financed by a country that's broke!

'What the hell could
possibly go wrong?'

>>Denial can be an extremely difficult thing to overcome.<<

By definition, ipso facto, none of us can see what we cannot see.

I live near IIlaine, see what she sees out the window.have worked hard as a physician, saved over 50% of after tax income, invested wisely paid every cent of taxes due ,and done well.I am world traveled, have multiple degrees read economics and history as hobbies, as well as for investment, and am scared s--tless.I have watched the Brazilian lifestyle go up 10 X in 15 years while our has fallen.I see people getting 30% more in Social Security than they ever paid in,paying only 20% of their eventual cost to medicare and 60% paying no federal income tax and living greatly beyond their means.I see a priviledged elite of bankers, wall street baffoons, federal workers, ivy league schools, and miitary complex taking much and producing little.,I see a general public with the same education, hygiene, culture, work ethic as the average Brazilian, but with both more govt and private debt, and they are living well beyond the means of the average Brazilian.Worse I see them with pitch forks and clubs unaware of who the enemy really is and out to get revenge.Worse still even if they identified and dispatched the above enemy their job woukd not be over......50% of the problem is left--them and their lifestyle.I kind of wish I coulldnt see as well..... ,like llaine
