I can foresee something happening if Perry enters the race (it sure looks like he will) and is the frontrunner for the nomination. There will be intense pressure to pick Romney as his Veep. To balance the ticket geographically, to balance a conservative with a moderate, to put the runner-up on the ticket, to satisfy the GOP establishment who likes Romney. It would be like Reagan picking Bush. I don't like the idea at all. Particularly because it would set up Romney to be a future Presidential candidate. Still, it could happen.
