instead grounded in the pursuit of equality and justice for one and all

Care to define your idea of "equality and justice"?

That's where the problem is, the left's definition of equality is their belief in the government's requirement to confiscate and distribute the wealth of the nation as it sees fit.

The other problem being, the left's definition of justice as their belief the government has a requirement that social justice should be based upon your voting record or status in the eyes of the ruling elite based upon whatever whims it desires at the time.

An example would be the nonsense of being the lucky sperm of winning the lottery of life, your wealth solely based upon your birth and having nothing to do with your own hard work and efforts.

The other example would be Holder dismissing any charges against the black panthers for voter intimidation while all efforts to end voter fraud by requiring a photo ID is demagogued as destroying a person's right to vote.

Or something simpler as Bill Clinton walking free for perjury while our jails are full of common folk for perjury.

Or Tim Geitner for cheating on his taxes for four years and walking free while our jails are full of people who committed far less taxation transgressions.

It was mob mentality that laid the very foundation for our great country.

Much to the contrary and coincidentally, Ann Coulter's latest book, "Demonic," is dedicated wholly to the study of mobs, especially as applied to politics. Her book was a big surprise to me as it was not just a reprint of past articles of hers but a true study that is very well documented (the footnotes section runs more than 30 pages). As a caution, however, you can expect the usual sharp Coulter wit and observations mixed in.

Specific to your claim, Coulter demonstrates how anti-mob the founders and the public at large were. Part 2 of the book is dedicated entirely to the French and American revolutions and the differences between them at all levels. You will probably reconsider your aforementioned comment after reading this section of the book. I guarantee you will learn a few things.
