Yes. It was a separatist war, and killings took place in both directions. In the end the Muslim side, obviously, won. But how can one justify months of destructive bombings of cities in altogether different parts of the country, not any place close to Kosovo? I think it was a very bizarre, cruel and uncool strategy.

Among other repercussions, this ended all hopes of bringing Russia closer to the West. It convinced the Russians that the West doesn't give a rat's behind about their interests and protestations, and that the only way to deal with the West is from a position of strength. The rest is history.
