Whatever the overall size of the timing synchronization market it represents significant upside for Trimble. Trimble used to sell just the components on an OEM basis which sold for about 10% of the integrated synchronization product such as the Thunderbolt. Trimble is currently by far the lowest cost producer of timing products and there is no reason that I can see that they wont grab large market share. Is $75 to $100 million in timing sales possible in 1998? I think yes.
