>>apply for an apmers irc channel?<< See their response:
"To register a channel on the Undernet with the Channel Service Committee, you must first form a channel for a while and see if it gains in popularity. The CSC is not intended for creating new channels. It is to assist in the stability and management of existing channels that have a good size user base and traffic through the channel. An Established channel is one that has been in existence and has an active list of supporters. Once your channel is Established, then you ask 10 of these regular users if they would be willing to support you as manager should you apply to register the channel. If they agree, then you submit your application to the CService Web Site.

In order to fill out the registration form, please visit our Web Site at:
cservice.undernet.org and choose "register" to the left.
Fill in the required information. The entire registration process takes
approximately 10-12 days. You should track the progress of your application every few days. Go to the registration page at
cservice.undernet.org and select a category of Incoming, Pending, Accepted, etc.. Where it requests a keyword, enter your channel name and click on "Select" (don't forget the #). If your channel names appears below, click on your channel name. You will then see detailed information. Please note: Rejected channels stay on the "Rejected" list for only 5 days.

To obtain more information about CService resources, please go to the CService homepage at: cservice.undernet.org and select "Info".

Regards,
DaveB

I think appro was looking into it..... I'd like to see more of you guys drop by. We set up an IRC channel every morning called #apmers. It's a lot of fun talking real time with people you've come to know from this thread.

Go here to download the IRC software and connect to any undernet server.
