Boehner's job is to be a salesman, not policy development. Most Republican and too many Democrats are hired and rewarded purely for this purpose. American Crossroads tells him and the echo machine what to say.

Boehner is a wimp. Don't understand how he lets a minority group of 83 Republican members can hold him hostage. If he is willing to give up his Speakership, he can very easily work with the remaining Republicans and the Democrats and pass a bill. But he prefers to work with the Repubs instead so as to keep his seat in lieu of the broader interest of this country's welfare. I think we are watching a coup in progress with Cantor pulling the strings behind the curtains.
