I just don't think that anyone in their right mind should follow something as rigid as a diagram like that.

Well, we agree on this point. I do not think that anyone should base their trading/investing decisions on any one factor. Decisions should be made logically, after assessing all available information.
However, it is short sighted to ignore any sources of potential information. If IOM is not currently following this rule-of-thumb, so be it, but other stocks do and IOM may once again trend this way. Better to be alert to information that may be used by others in making their decisions.

Actually, I feel somewhat of the same regarding all technical charts. Generally, they are for suckers.

This is a revealing piece of information. What do you base your trading/investing decisions on?

Really, please don't take offense.

None taken, its been a long day.

PS I must warn you that I am a 2nd degree black belt and will do serious harm to you.

I had a second lieutenant say that to me once, a long time ago... after we 'discussed' it, he never said it to me again. :-o

But, we are here to make embarrassingly large amounts of money so let's get on with the job at hand. :-)
