i believe the complete advice set over the past 10-11 years from me, in hindsight, was and is per below: - fade greenspan and short bernanke - bush is a cretin, but obama is evil - buy internet / softbank in early 1999 - ease into gold mining in 1999 by shorting puts, and platinum mining longs - accumulate gold / platinum in 2000 onward, relative to gold mining - get out of idotcom / eslashnet in 2000 - get out of usd in 2001 - get into canadian energy 2002/2003 - get out of usa homes in 2006 - get out of everything except physical gold / solid platinum in late 2007 - get into gold / silver mining and paper/physical platinum in dec 2008 - march 2009 - get out of gold/silver mining 2011 04 06 - get out of gold / platinum 2011 04 06 - get into gold / silver / platinum 2011 07 07-18 - get into nly / mcd via cloud atm - get into more silver and platinum - universal suffrage as practiced by the ignorant people for the misinformed people per rule by making up ever sillier laws cannot work going forward except leading to systemic cleansing of the revolutionary, and not the sort that is a tea party so far so good. but for the average joe and jane, all along the way, rid of debt. i believe cb ilaine's cry was long usa real estate, hold mutual fund, maintaining ever increasing debt does not matter, dollar exchange rate is inconsequential, plus vote for bush, and worship bernanke.
