I can't believe you people care about politics.

If everyone cared about politics we probably wouldn't be in this mess. Even now, with their life styles hanging in the balance, a vast number of Americans aren't paying enough attention to the issues, to the point where they really don't have a clue as to what they're voting for or against. Part of the blame rests in the fog of politics, but most lies at the feet of those only too eager not to miss an episode of American Idol but too lazy and selfish to follow the hypocrisy and cynicism that's going in Washington.

I can't believe you people care about politics.

We care because politics literally changes people's lives, mostly for the worse over the past few years. If the Tea Party hadn't come about there would be no Debt Ceiling issue. It would have been rubber stamped and the spending deluge would have accelerated until we're all "Katrinaed." Also, the last election would have seen the usual ignorant go-along-to-get-alongs being re-elected.

People are being squeezed and some are bursting and the rest of us are trying to avoid it at all possible costs. And it all comes about because of politics. The enemy must be met on the field of battle. If you don't care, get off the field.
