In Germany photovoltaic power is already cheaper than regular power from the grid, that drives the massive build-out of PV among private citizens.

Since photovoltaics are normally about seven times more expensive than coal power, it sounds like your grid is way overpriced.

We could be importing more oil from Canada but Obama is holding up a vital pipeline. We could be drilling for more of our own but Obama is tying up the industry in red tape. We could be building more windmills but environmentalists are blocking construction. I bet if I spent 15 minutes on google I'd find Obama is screwing with the PV industry too.
