I look at Beltrans's numbers, .289 ... 15 home runs ... 66 RBI's and we're just past the halfway mark. And the media is saying deal of the century for an A ball guy who is 7-5 with a 3.99 ERA? Spin machine in action babee.

It may end up working out for the Mets, but it's a long shot! Fact is, you guys thought it would be prospects as in plural. Not paying most of the salary and getting an average A ball guy with potential.

Just my point of view and I could be wrong.

It's just that if I were a Mets fan, I wouldn't too excited about this deal.

Beltran is 34 years old and an accident waiting to happen on that chronic arthritic knee. Wheeler is 21 years old, with a blazing fastball (clocked 98 mph on the radar gun) and a great curve. The kid just needs to gain command and refine his pitches.

I am ecstatic over this trade.
