Rasmus is a "timing" fit for the young Jays for the outfield youngsters (Snider, Thames, Rasmus) complimented by the young starting rotation and Lawrie, soon to get the call for 3rd, can grow together.

If these kids develop over the remainder of this season, it sets the stage for a very young and exciting team through the next few years!

Jays have a fairly easy August schedule which hopefully will see them play better than .500 ball and thereby instill confidence in the young players setting the stage for a very difficult September schedule which will test their metal against the likes of the Yankees, Bosox, Rays and Angels!

Jays won 86 games last year! If Jays could win 86 this year, that would have to be considered a huge success given all the experimentation! A lot of things will have to go right for Jays to win 86 this season. I'll take 80 as a success and a huge building block positioned for next year.
