shows that US citizens still underestimate the usefulness of photovoltaics and are not aware of the improvements during recent years

Nor the rest of the world - it doesn't pencil out economically without massive subsidies or higher energy costs to consumers.

I've seen several test installs of solar in parking lots - they usually setup a framework and install the panels creating covered parking - which in itself is nice for the sun baked cars. But they never expand the system to cover the entire parking lot because it doesn't really work yet and this in sunny Phoenix and CA locations.

The fact that we have to subsidise Photovoltaic to make it work is enough by itself to blow it out as a power source. We will NEVER get there that way.

I know the Germany story on photovoltaic well enough to know that's it's phony. The Euros are building themselves an economy that will be priced out of the world.

Keep going the way you are and Europe will end up being a Disneyland for America and Asia. We will go there to enjoy the ruins and buy Cockoo clocks.
