uh, not true anymore. apparently gtw customer "care" isn't open on the weekends anymore. business is BOOMING! ;-)

Hi Alan. As an owner of a GTW I have to reiterate that my experience with GTW service has been for the most part less than stellar. The nadir came when I called to ask if it was ok to install a browser program that I had received from AT&T since it was going to change one of the MSFT operating programs.

I was told by the tech representative that he couldn't, wouldn't help me because it was a MSFT problem. But you sold me the system, I countered. No dice, you have to go to MSFT, I was told. If the tech person had said he didn't know the answer, I would have accepted that. But to send me to MSFT. Outrageous.

So I sent a letter to the president of the company. A month later, in response to my letter, I got a call from another tech person asking if she could be of help.
I thanked her, told her I had already solved the problem, but a new one had come up. Could she help? Yes, but she'd have to get back to me. And that's how we left it. And that was the last I ever heard from her.

So, Alan, to summarize, I hear your entusiasm, but I wonder how much of a favor you are doing your mother and friends recommending that they purchase GTW computers?
