Jays only traded for Jackson to be able to consummate the deal for the coveted Rasmus from St. Louis. Jackson has always exhibited flashes of brilliance but never consistently enough for teams he has been with. Hopefully he works out in St. louis and Rasmus works out for the Jays.

Like Snider and Thames, Rasmus adds another left hand bat to the Jays lineup. Perhaps Jays coaching staff can wave the same magic wand over Rasmus that they seem to have waved over Bautista and Escobar!

Watching the Jays game tonight the batting lineup was RLRLRLRLR...first time I can remember seeing such a balanced lineup in Toronto!
