You notice how when you post one of these charts they scatter very quickly?

>> The FACTS are the current debt has been run up mostly by Republicans. It's indisputable.

The FACTS are that who was president when the debt went up or down is a totally meaningless statistic. It doesn't take into account such key points in this disaster as how we got Social Security, Medicare, various other social programs, the Welfare State, etc. All these things take considerable time to unwind.

SS is just getting close to collapse and it has been here since the 30s. Medicare/Medicaid, since the 60s. You can't possibly overlook the roles of FDR and LBJ in these disasters.

I understand. You're not a particularly bright individual. I get that. But my 12 year old nephew can understand this concept. It just isn't that complicated.

These programs were installed with the best of intentions I'm sure, but it simply isn't possible to design a program government fed program like these that won't eventually become the blob and consume everything it touches. I defy you to name one, in any democratic country in the world. They are all in various states of collapse, but in the end, there is no other possible outcome.

Which is the reason the Founders expressed concern over it.

Bentway, you're just repeating yourself, and you didn't answer Inode's question.

Obama is on his way to dwarfing all Republican presidents in terms of running up the debt.

All you're going to do is bring up that chart every time you're caught in an indefensible position.

The FACTS are the current debt has been run up mostly by Republicans.

The facts are that the current debt has mostly bee run up by Democrats in congress, and the by president the largest, 2nd largest, and fourth largest deficits as a percentage of GDP where run up by Democrats.

Also that the spending that creates the debt was mostly either non or bi partisan or was voted in with Democratic control.

Which is not to say that I think the debt and deficits are a partisan thing. Republicans also have a horrible record on spending and deficits. But if you want to make it one, the Democrats have a bigger historical connection to the deficits and resultant debt, and they are more willing to accept out of control spending now.
