Greetings all,
A little tidbit of info for you all to peruse. According to the Kiplinger Washington Letter, the IRS is going to allow companies a choice of either expensing their Y2k costs like they would do with research & development costs, OR they can choose to amortize them over a period of up to 5 years. My interpretation is that would be bullish for the Y2k remediation sector. Would appreciate any feedback on whether this has been mentioned in other sources and its impact on the sector.
