Bentway, you didn't refute what I said. All you did was post another left-wing hack article that is repeating the same misconceptions you have. The truth is that the 1937 "depression within a depression" was the result of the New Deal failing to turn the economy around. All the indicators of an improving economy was the result of artificially boosting output, but *none of that was sustainable* as the budget-balancing and monetary tightening of 1937 proved.
