There is no evidence increasing the debt ceiling in anyway furthers the viability of the US.

None at all.

This is just a liberal nitwit idea. And it is, of course, blatantly illegal -- according to the president's own spokesman.

That just means dumbo has to pay the creditors first before he can do anything else and we have more than enough money coming in the door to pay the debt.

The 14th amendment says that "The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law" shall not be questioned.

That's irrelevant to the current issue. Even an actual late payment is not renouncing the debt or declaring it not valid, but even late payment isn't an issue, since the federal government has far more money than it needs to make its debt payments.

Nobody is threating the viability of the existing debt, it's the future debt you want to incur thats the problem and the issue thats important here.
