Exactly, one of the problems is conservatives take too long to rally behind one candidate and then a wishy-washy moderate inside the beltway person becomes the nominee. I see the same thing happening this go around with Romney.

One of the reasons I already support Michele Bachmann. There may be a more "perfect" nominee from the conservative side emerge, but Bachmann is out working and stumping for votes already. And she's the strongest conservative candidate who is actually running. At this point, conservatives are basically splitting their poll numbers between Bachmann, Palin and Perry. And the numbers added up exceed Romney totals. If conservatives wait too long, Romney will walk away with the nomination while conservatives dither over who they should support. Presidential candidates need a lot of money to be serious contenders. Newt Gingrich should bow out and support Bachman, same with Palenty and Cain. They have no serious chance and no connection to the conservative base to mount a sustained campaign, so what's the point?

This election is too important to allow ego to get in the way of a conservative winning!

hard to believe McCain got the nomination

More and more Republicans are waking up the the inadequate dirt bags in their party.
