Ben: Sound technical analysis and value investing go hand-in-hand.

And I agree, merely drawing lines on a chart is laughable. One has to take many more factors into consideration as your post deotes.

Am I a speculator or an investor re: SGI? Well, I was an investor from SGI's IPO until June '95. Since then I've speculated (traded) SGI many times. Mostly writing (and some buying) PUTS and CALLS.

Call me skittish, but buying SGI's stock has been a game of -hit and run- over the past two years. Just when you think things are going good. WHACK!!! If it takes a little charting to know that? So be it.

Have fun in vegas,

Mathon

p.s. Ben, since you mentioned Value Investing. SGI's P/E=60. Gulp.
