Dang!

Brad you're just all over this stuff....and for that I wholeheartedly applaud you. <clap calp clap> SI is a much better place than it was before.

I also greatly appreciate you giving everybody the ability to click on a 'peoplemarks' recent posts and read their posts in order....a great time saver.

Tho...one thing that has always bothered me is when people change their alias.

I have been here for 12 years...(I know, I know....I'm just a noob) and over the years as you peruse different threads you see posters and you decide you either like or dislike.

Then all of a sudden....an alias you've never seen before pops up...and you wonder....Who The F isdat?

I'd like to be able to see an "alias change" history.

I know people change for various reasons....some as they change 'clothes', some to hide 'baggage', and some...well...just because.

I admit...I changed mine once....but changed it back. It just didn't feel right.

I'd like to be able to who poster " !@#$%" was before they showed up as "^&*()"

I'm just sayin'

Hi Brad,
Any chance the new editor can be made available for editing thread headers?

Thanks,
tsl

great feature. I think that will really help clean up the Aesthetics on the main line. And increase user experience.

Another good one for basic useful functionality is to be able to paste from Excel. *(cough works on SH)

Here is the paste into the SI wysiwya get editor. But as you can see that when I post it. It does not come accross. Lots here have great excel sheets on stocks. I think it would be another "gooder" on the simple yet effective list.

Here is the paste

How it actually turned out.

Brad,

In thread 468 you wrote: "our list now looks like this [embedded image]"

I assume that the above quote is a thread header. Then my question is: For clarity, how does one

remove the words "embedded image" in the thread header.

After posting an image in message 3464 in Contrarian Investing, the intended thread header is

"Time to Buy". Instead, the following appears in the header: "
Time to Buy [embedded image] More components of our "combined bull"

How do I remove the two words "embed image" and make the rest of the sentence to appear as the beginning

of the text-message body.

Thanks!

Search more than current year

I thought this feature was going to be changed so we could all search more than a year back on message boards. So far, I could only search the current year for mentions of a stock or phrase.

Will this be fixed soon so we can search ALL messages in a discussion topic going back to the start of SI?

Thanks
